About the role:

The Scheduler II is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project plans, schedules, and earned value progress measurement systems for small to large projects. Working under general supervision, this role supports project execution through schedule development, progress tracking, forecasting, delay identification, and schedule performance analysis.

The position works closely with Project Managers, Project Controls personnel, engineering teams, and project stakeholders to establish and maintain project schedules that support successful execution. The role contributes to schedule development, progress measurement, planning workshops, project controls reporting, and schedule management activities throughout the project lifecycle.

In addition, the Scheduler II supports continuous improvement initiatives related to planning tools, scheduling templates, and progress measurement methodologies while ensuring consistency and accuracy of scheduling deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain summary-level and detailed project schedules
  • Prepare and monitor project plans, schedules, and earned value progress measurements
  • Support Engineering Studies, Process Design Packages (PDP), Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), Basic Design Packages (BDP), Detailed Engineering & Procurement (EP), and EPC projects
  • Track physical earned progress and schedule performance
  • Identify schedule deviations, delays, and potential impacts to project execution
  • Participate in interactive planning sessions and planning workshops
  • Support schedule forecasting and progress reporting activities
  • Analyze project schedule performance and recommend improvements
  • Review scheduling deliverables with project and department leadership
  • Assist in the development of planning tools, schedule templates, and progress measurement standards

Compliance / Operational Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Planning & Scheduling procedures, standards, and work methods
  • Maintain accurate schedule data, reporting information, and progress measurement records
  • Support earned value management and project controls reporting requirements
  • Ensure scheduling deliverables meet quality and project requirements
  • Support schedule reviews and performance assessments
  • Maintain schedule documentation and project records
  • Support implementation of approved planning and scheduling methodologies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Planning & Scheduling function

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • 2–5 years of planning and scheduling experience in the energy industry
  • Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software
  • Experience with scheduling and progress measurement of engineering work processes
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Experience with multi-office execution and module fabrication yard execution
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Significant experience with Primavera P6 software
  • Experience with in-house and third-party progress measurement software
  • Familiarity with quantitative risk analysis techniques for schedules
  • Exposure to change management processes and schedule impacts
  • Experience with construction and commissioning scheduling
  • AACE International certification or working knowledge of AACE recommended practices in Planning & Scheduling or Project Controls
  • Experience supporting projects within the energy transition industry
