Project Scheduler

Our client is one of northern New Englands leading Construction Management Companies with a broad portfolio of projects for life sciences, commercial/corporate, housing, healthcare, financial, and education clients.

The individual will oversee and manage the scheduling operation for commercial construction projects ranging from $10M-$100M. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules, scheduling analytics and project and company reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CPM scheduling and project coordination.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using scheduling software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Perform critical path analysis (CPM) and identify potential schedule risks, delays, and mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, update schedules regularly, and generate reports on delays, milestones, and completion forecasts.
  • Coordinate with material and equipment procurement planning to ensure timely material deliveries and subcontractor mobilization.
  • Lead schedule review meetings, providing insight into construction sequencing, and work efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, scheduling specifications, and industry best practices.
  • Provide scheduling support for bids and proposals, including baseline schedules and time impact analysis.
  • Train and mentor project teams on scheduling best practices and software tools.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

  • 5-10 years experience in scheduling commercial construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, and critical path method (CPM) scheduling.
  • Ability to analyze project constraints, and risk management strategies.
  • Familiarity with contract documents, construction specifications, and project delivery methods.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or building industry related experience.
