Project Safety Manager

📍 Location: Greensboro, NC

📅 Duration: 12 Months (Start: ASAP / 10/5/2026)

📋 Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

💰 Pay Rate: $70/hr (Local Candidates) OR $52/hr + $125/day Per Diem (Travelers)

⏱️ Overtime: Maximum OT Rate 1.4x Standard Rate

🏨 Per Diem: $125/day (7 Days Per Week for Travelers)

🎯 Completion Bonus: $150/month

💵 Pay Frequency: Weekly

⏰ Schedule: Monday-Saturday | 7:00 AM-3:00 PM | 50-60 Hours/Week

📈 Additional Schedule Details: Possible Sundays as project demands require.

The Project Safety Manager will oversee multiple Safety Technicians while working directly with project leadership, supervision, craft personnel, and client stakeholders to ensure safe and successful project execution throughout all phases of construction.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following:

✔ Four-year degree in EHS or related field plus 3+ years of full-time construction safety management experience

OR

✔ BCSP Credential (minimum CHST) plus 5+ years of full-time construction safety management experience

OR

✔ OSHA 500 Certification plus 6+ years of full-time construction safety management experience

Additionally:

✔ Current First Aid/CPR Certification

✔ Data Center Construction Experience

✔ Experience with NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E

✔ Strong communication and leadership skills

✔ Active Personal Workers' Compensation Coverage of $1,000,000 prior to project start

Preferred Qualifications

⭐ CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, STSC, or Other BCSP Credential

⭐ Electrical Construction Safety Experience

⭐ Data Center Safety Management Experience

⭐ Experience Managing Multiple Safety Professionals

⭐ Utility Infrastructure Experience

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide daily safety leadership for electrical installation and utility construction activities
• Supervise and mentor multiple onsite Safety Technicians
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
• Monitor electrical construction and utility installation activities
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, NFPA 70/70E requirements, and project-specific safety standards
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, subcontractors, and client representatives
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
