An opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor with 2-5 years experience in Highways and Groundworks to join a civils sub-contractor in Chelmsford, Essex. You will be a key part of the team involved in several highway infrastructure projects and your main duties include calculating and monitoring project costs, providing cost and quality assurance, performing risk and value management as well as providing initial costings and Bills of Quantities.
Working within the Highways team your main duties include:
Calculating and monitoring project costs associated with highway and public realm construction.
Ensuring the highest standards of cost control, cost monitoring, and cost management are carried out.
Providing cost and quality assurance as well as initial costings/estimates and Bills of Quantities.
Performing risk and value management duties and identifying commercial risks.
Previous experience in Highways/Groundwork is essential for this role.
