Purpose:

We are currently recruiting for a Project Quality Manager (Nuclear). Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Markham, Ontario location.


As a Project Quality Manager, you will be responsible to provide local subject matter expertise and hands on support to deliver successful project outcomes and foster a positive quality culture in the office.The candidate will monitor the implementation of the quality improvement program in line with the existing Management System and Worley Nuclear Quality Assurance Program, addressing the growing need to demonstrate a long-term commitment to managing and optimizing our project performance to support event-free services delivery for our clients and the ever-evolving needs of the industries that we serve.


Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with office and project management as the Quality focal point for all aspects of EPCM and EPC project delivery.
  • Build relationships with client counterparts, client operational and project personnel.
  • Coordinate and conduct project assessments and surveillances to ensure compliance to Worley, client, and legislative requirements.
  • Provide advice and support including investigations into unplanned quality events.
  • Facilitate functional and project risk and lessons learned workshops, reviews, and discussions.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of risk management activities within projects and offices, particularly for any significant changes and provide advice and support.
  • Develop, set-up, roll out and measure Quality KPIs, metrics for implementation-based project high risk priorities.
  • Collaborate within industry to apply benchmarking and lessons learned from other organizations, industries, and our key clients (internal/external).
  • Contribute to continual improvement and achievement of stated performance objectives by raising awareness of trends, risks and emerging themes.
  • Drive quality performance related improvement initiatives, utilizing best practices in change management.
  • Conduct cold eyes / effectiveness reviews to evaluate quality performance improvements made and to determine the need for any adjustments to the program.
  • Communicate relevant and timely assurance information to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Assist projects and offices to understand assurance requirements.
  • Demonstrate quality and safety leadership through conversations, interactions with teams and leadership, conducting training sessions, implementation of quality assurance measures, promotion of safe work practices and ensuring interest and awareness of quality and safety is maintained at all levels.
  • Collaborate regionally, internationally and with other internal business units (as applicable) to ensure consistency and alignment of our Quality Plans with other internal initiatives.
  • Assist offices to maintain quality management systems fit for ISO 9001 certification.
  • Support Worley in creating a more sustainable world and a highly inclusive work environment.

What you will bring:

Technical and Industry Experience:

  • Strong demonstrable knowledge of Quality Management System, Quality and Risk processes and working knowledge of other areas of quality assurance processes.
  • Experience with project delivery procedures and processes.
  • Understanding of commercial and strategic business drivers.
  • Stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Good presentation, training and communication skills to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in workshop facilitation, problem solving and conflict resolution.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Experience in the Nuclear Industry an asset.
  • Familiar with CSA N299.1, CSA 286-12 standards an asset.
  • A recognized degree and relevant accredited qualification/experience.
  • Training accreditation preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
  • Adaptable – open to change, innovative ideas, and methods.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Leads by example and drives organizational performance by being open to feedback and self-improvement.
  • Encourages others to share the spotlight, visibly celebrates and supports team.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered where appropriate. Professional Designation Preferred, Certified Engineering Technologist (CET), P. Eng or equivalent considered an asset. Minimum of 7+ years of experience required [a combination of operations, quality, construction, or project experience preferred.


For applicants based in the province of Ontario, the salary range is $105K to $124K
