Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes using ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or equivalent platforms to ensure timely acquisition of construction materials and services.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers through direct negotiations to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels by utilizing materials management systems and conducting regular inventory control audits to prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams to understand material requirements and develop sourcing strategies aligned with project timelines.
• Analyze Excel data and other spreadsheets to evaluate supplier performance, pricing trends, and procurement metrics for continuous improvement.
• Support supply chain management activities by integrating procurement data with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to optimize inventory flow.
• Foster strong vendor relationships through effective communication, performance monitoring, and resolution of supply issues promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience with ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS or similar platforms supporting purchasing management systems.
• Strong knowledge of materials management, inventory control, supply chain processes, and procurement best practices within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in using spreadsheets (Excel), accounting software, and vendor negotiation tools for data analysis and decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills to manage vendor relationships effectively and negotiate favorable terms confidently.
• Ability to analyze procurement data using Excel for pricing analysis, cost reduction opportunities, and reporting purposes.
• Familiarity with MRP systems and direct negotiation procurement techniques to source materials efficiently.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
