Job Description

The Project & Product Manager is responsible for defining, planning, coordinating, and overseeing the development of embedded products throughout their lifecycle, from concept to market release. As such, he/she rolls out the Offer Creation process of Flashnet for his/her product line.

The role ensures that product requirements, development activities, project execution, and business objectives remain aligned while delivering high-quality hardware and firmware solutions on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer and market needs.

The Project & Product Manager acts as the primary link between business stakeholders and the embedded systems development Teams (Hardware, Firmare, IoT Platform), facilitating effective collaboration, prioritization, decision-making, and communication across all project phases.

Education, qualifications, specialisations:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in project management as well as in product management, or a similar role within embedded systems development.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams composed of hardware, firmware, software, and test engineers.
• Experience using Agile methodologies and project management tools such as Jira or equivalent.
• PMI certification a plus. Experience with Waterfall model valuable to drive changes.
• Languages: advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken.

Produt Strategy and Requirement Management

• Define and communicate his/her product line vision, price, roadmap, and priorities aligned with business objectives.
• Gather, analyse, and prioritise customer, market, and business requirements of his/her product line.
• Maintain clear product specifications, pricing and ensure alignment between stakeholder needs, business value, and development activities.

Project Planning and Delivery

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee hardware and firmware development projects, as well as industrialization, sales, marketing & admin activities from initiation to release, up to successful market introduction and launch.
• Manage project scope, schedules, milestones, resources, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
• Monitor progress and ensure deliverables meet agreed quality, timeline, and success criteria.

Backlog and Development Coordination

• Work with technical leader to prioritise product and project backlogs, ensuring items are ready for implementation.
• Facilitate backlog refinement, planning, reviews, and release activities.
• Work with Hardware and Firmware Technical Leads to coordinate development efforts, remove blockers, and ensure alignment between technical solutions, product requirements, and project objectives

Documentation, Reporting, Governance

• Maintain project and product line documentation, including requirements, risks, changes, and deliverables [Sales, Marketing, Quality, Technical, Security, Certification scope]
• Monitor key performance indicators and provide status reporting to stakeholders.
• Ensure effective use of project management processes, time tracking, and progress monitoring while promoting collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement

Compliance Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company policies, processes, and internal regulations.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all information handled in the course of duties.
• Support compliance with applicable regulatory, quality, and security requirements.

Responsibilities:

1) Marketing: Deliver specified outcomes and provide others with expert advice while working within established marketing programs.

2) Brand Positioning: Ensure the application of brand guidelines and brand templates and inform the organization on the importance of brand alignment and positioning.

3) Brand Strategy and Effectiveness: Assist in the management of brand(s) by implementing brand plans and guidelines and measuring effectiveness.

4) Marketing Impact Assessment: Collect customer and market data that contributes to the review of marketing activities.

5) Portfolio Management: Deliver small project workstreams, carrying out specified project activities within defined time and quality parameters and ensuring adherence to the prescribed project management methodology.

6) Product and Solution Development: Support others by carrying out a range of product development and engineering activities, such as analyzing client situations or interpreting data.

7) Product Management: Deliver support services (mostly of a routine nature) by using product management systems and protocols.

8) Document Preparation: Organize and prepare complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices, such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for special reports.

9) Insights and Reporting: Extract and combine data to generate standard reports.

10) Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Educational Requirements: Short-Cycle Tertiary Education

General Experience Requirement: Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems (7 to 12 months)

Managerial Experience Requirement: Basic experience of coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months)
