We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Procurement professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for working with the project team to manage material work packages within Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) targets as well as lead cost improvement and optimisation plans for our Suburban Rail loop projects in Dandenong, Victoria

Key Responsibilities for this Role Include:

  • Lead and deliver overall Procurement activities for the project, including make or buy strategy, decisions and recommendations
  • Work with Alstom Global Commodity Managers to ensure project Procurement execution is in lie with Alstom strategy
  • Work with Project and Engineering Managers to align the scope of contract against requirements
  • Review periodically the QCD material scope (Work packages) with the stakeholders, establish a robust “at completion” vision, taken into account risks, ambitions and uncertainties
  • Manage supplier selection through Business Award process
  • Deliver all reporting requirements under assigned work packages.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required Includes:

  • Degree in Business or Engineering or demonstrable experience with purchasing or supply chain management
  • Previous experience with Purchasing practices in a project environment (preferably Engineering, construction, defence or similar).
  • Experience analysing and negotiating terms and conditions for subcontracts.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to liaise with all level an organisation local and internationally.
