Job Introduction

Frequentis USA Inc. is dedicated to creating a safer world. With over 75 years of experience, Frequentis understands controllers in safety critical situations encounter new challenges daily. Our mission is to develop and market highly reliable, optimized, custom-tailored, and user centric communication and information systems for mission critical solutions. As an industry leader in voice communication data information systems, we create a safer world through integration, digitalization, and automation while maintaining world class safety standards. We proudly serve many U.S. government agencies including the FAA, DoD, and NASA. Safety as our number one priority pushes us to constantly learn about the ever-changing needs in safety critical environments to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Tasks

  • Develop and maintain the integrated material plan for current and forecast Digital Tower deployments, reconciling approved Bills of Material, inventory, project allocations, purchase requests, purchase orders, expected receipts, supplier lead times, and material need dates.
  • Use SAP-based inventory information to identify shortages, excess inventory, long-lead items, obsolescence, and competing project priorities early enough to support corrective action.
  • Co-develop Bills of Material with Engineering; validate part numbers, quantities, approved manufacturers, technical requirements, costs, allocations, and required dates. Route substitutions and configuration deviations through Engineering and Configuration Management before purchasing action.
  • Prepare complete purchase requests in Jira and track them through approval, purchase-order placement, supplier fulfilment, Columbia warehouse receipt and inspection, inventory allocation, integration, testing, and project closeout.
  • Provide approving managers with the requirement, urgency, cost, schedule basis, and program impact of proposed purchases.
  • Coordinate with key suppliers and the Procurement Department on forecast demand, availability, lead times, delivery commitments, constraints, pricing support, and approved recovery actions.
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel on receipt, inspection, inventory availability, project allocation, shortages, damage, incorrect items, reassignment, excess material, and closeout reconciliation.
  • Provide Project Managers and program leadership with procurement dates, supplier commitments, material forecasts, risks, budget status, cost variances, and concise decision-oriented reporting.
  • Improve repeatable procurement-planning, Jira-request, tracking, dashboard, and inventory-reconciliation processes as the program grows.
  • Maintain references for supplier lead times, historical pricing, recurring requirements, and component lifecycle status.
  • Identify opportunities to use available inventory, consolidate requirements, reduce urgent purchases, avoid excess material, and support returns or transfers.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, project management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Five or more years of procurement tracking, project procurement, material planning, supply chain coordination, or inventory planning experience for technical hardware programs.
  • Experience managing and reconciling Bills of Material, inventory, purchase requests, purchase orders, receipts, supplier commitments, delivery forecasts, and project allocations across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience tracking procurement budgets, commitments, actual costs, price changes, forecast expenditures, and cost variances, and addressing long-lead, supplier-delay, shortage, and obsolescence risks.
  • Experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, a workflow or ticket-management system, and advanced Microsoft Excel; ability to manage competing material priorities and changing project requirements.
  • Ability to access export-controlled technical information, subject to confirmation by Human Resources and Export Compliance.
  • Experience supporting a large federal program or similarly complex multi-site hardware deployment; prior federal contracting experience is not required.
  • Experience in aviation, aerospace, defense, telecommunications, transportation, public safety, critical infrastructure, or comparable integrated technical systems.
  • Experience in a configuration-controlled environment, including component lifecycle or obsolescence management.
  • Experience with SAP, a shipping coordination system, and Jira; APICS/ASCM, CPSM, PMP, CAPM, or another relevant certification is a plus.
  • 5+ years in procurement tracking, project procurement, material planning, or supply chain coordination for technical hardware.
  • Experience reconciling Bills of Material, inventory, purchase requests, open purchase orders, receipts, and project allocations across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience forecasting demand and ensuring on-time material availability against fixed integration or deployment milestones.
  • Experience tracking procurement budgets, commitments, actual costs, price variances, and forecast expenditures.
  • Enterprise resource planning (ERP), shipping coordination system, and workflow-system experience with strong Excel capability. SAP and Jira are preferred.
