Job Description

Project & People Manager, Defence Services, Copenhagen

Ready to lead software deployment, training and technical support projects for Defence customers, develop your team and shape a growing department? Combine hands-on project delivery with direct people management, bringing mission-critical software to military customers across the Nordics.

The job

As Project & People Manager in our Nordic Constellation, you will manage and lead multiple customer projects simultaneously. These projects involve deploying our SitaWare and Iris product suites into customers’ organisations, delivering training services, providing technical support for military exercises and helping customers get the most from our products.

Alongside responsibility for the delivery and implementation of our Defence product suites at our customers, you will:

  • Ensure delivery to the agreed scope, schedule and quality standards while maintaining and developing long-term customer relationships.
  • Work closely with our business development team to expand customer engagement in new and established markets by shaping and scoping solutions, preparing estimates and writing commercial proposals.
  • Take direct people and line management responsibility, including recruitment, employee development and retention.
  • Together with your team, foster an engaging workplace where people enjoy coming to work.

You will on a regular basis travel to customer locations in the Nordic countries, most predominantly in the Capitol Region in Denmark.

Joining the team

Join Defence Services, Nordic, and help customers in Denmark and across Scandinavia bring our SitaWare solutions into their organisations. In Copenhagen, you will join a Defence Services team of around 10 people, including fellow managers, solution architects, solution engineers and student workers. As our department grows, you will have the opportunity to help shape how we work and strengthen our leadership team. Reporting to the Senior Director for the Nordic Constellation, you will collaborate with fellow managers and colleagues across constellations, combining hands-on project delivery with people management.

What you will bring

You bring solid experience leading software or IT projects using agile methods and enjoy combining project delivery with managing and developing employees. You take ownership and are ready to grow your responsibilities as you deliver results.

We are also looking for:

  • A relevant degree in IT, software or a related field, preferably at master’s level.
  • Direct line management experience with formal responsibility for employees, including coaching, motivation and development, along with the ability to influence people both within and outside the organisation.
  • Experience working directly with customers and other stakeholders - experience in defence or a similar industry is a clear advantage.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Project management certification, such as PMI, PRINCE2 or IPMA Level B/C, and Scrum or ITIL certification backed by practical experience - these are an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • A decisive, results-driven mindset combined with an analytical, structured approach, and the ability to engage customers, end-users, senior management and your team to deliver projects within budget, on schedule and to the required quality standards.
  • A collaborative colleague who contributes to both achieving results and fostering a positive team culture.

Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
