Project Owner / Senior Business Analyst
We are seeking an experienced Project Owner to drive the operational management, coordination, and overall consistency of a strategic digital transformation project. Acting as the primary interface between business stakeholders and delivery teams, you will ensure business needs are accurately translated into actionable requirements while maintaining alignment with the product vision.
This role requires strong stakeholder management, business analysis expertise, and the ability to work effectively in a multi-community environment with diverse and sometimes competing interests.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Business Alignment
- Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable, and prioritized requirements.
- Ensure alignment between project deliverables and product vision.
- Support strategic decision-making through operational project coordination.
Backlog & Requirements Management
- Own and maintain a high-quality project backlog.
- Ensure user stories are clear, complete, prioritized, and deliver business value.
- Validate requirements and ensure consistency across all backlog items.
- Monitor scope changes and identify potential impacts or risks.
Stakeholder Management & Facilitation
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and alignment sessions with stakeholders.
- Manage relationships across multiple business communities and departments.
- Identify conflicting priorities and drive consensus through negotiation and collaboration.
- Serve as a trusted advisor between business and technical teams.
Project Coordination & Quality Assurance
- Coordinate with analysts, architects, data specialists, service managers, and development teams.
- Ensure proposed solutions meet business needs while remaining feasible, scalable, and sustainable.
- Monitor project progress and support operational decision-making.
- Contribute to the quality and consistency of project deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience as a Business Analyst, Project Owner, Product Owner, or similar role.
- Strong expertise in requirements gathering, analysis, and backlog management.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Proven ability to facilitate workshops and manage complex stakeholder environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to bridge business and technical perspectives effectively.
- Experience contributing to digital transformation or software development projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in multi-stakeholder or public-sector environments.
- Knowledge of BPMN and business process modeling.
- Familiarity with databases, data integration, and ETL concepts.
- Understanding of software development environments and technologies.
- Experience with SharePoint, SAP, MS Project, and collaboration tools.
- Knowledge of UX principles and user-centered design approaches.
Languages
- Native French.
- Good working knowledge of Dutch.
- Good working knowledge of English.
