About Forensicare
Forensicare is Victoria’s specialist provider of forensic mental health services. We deliver recovery focused care across secure hospitals, community services and justice related settings, supporting consumers with serious mental illness while balancing safety, security and therapeutic outcomes.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Officer to support the Project Manager – Operational Delivery and Planning during a critical period of service expansion at Thomas Embling Hospital (TEH).

This role focuses on time critical operational planning and coordination to support the safe, effective and sustainable opening of new beds. Working closely with clinical, operational, infrastructure and corporate stakeholders, you will coordinate planning documentation, reporting, governance and risk tracking to ensure services are operationally ready as capacity comes online.
This opportunity is well suited to someone who thrives in complex, regulated environments, can adapt quickly to shifting priorities, and brings a strong sense of judgement, discretion and accountability.

Key responsibilities
• Provide specialist project coordination and operational planning support in a secure forensic mental health setting
• Coordinate planning documentation, briefs, reports and schedules to support service readiness
• Track risks, issues and dependencies, supporting timely escalation through governance pathways
• Support commissioning and transition activities related to opening new beds and services
• Engage with clinical, operational and corporate stakeholders to coordinate inputs and actions
• Manage sensitive and time critical information with accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail
• Support operational governance, assurance and continuity during periods of change

What we’re looking for
You’ll bring experience and confidence working across multidisciplinary stakeholders, with the ability to keep complex planning activities moving in pressured environments.
Key attributes and experience include:
• Background in project coordination or operational planning, ideally within health, mental health or other highly regulated settings
• Experience supporting commissioning, service openings or major operational transitions
• Strong capability in project documentation, reporting and risk tracking
• Comfortable working with clinical, operational, infrastructure and corporate stakeholders
• Highly organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision
A tertiary qualification in project management, business, health administration (or similar), or equivalent experience, is desirable.
