Project Officer-Immunization-Dhobley
The Role Summary:
The Project Officer-Immunization will lead and support the implementation of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) activities under the GiveWell Immunization Program at district level in Baidoa/Dhobley/Dollow or Wajid in South West/Jubaland State. S/he will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination, implementation, and monitoring of routine and outreach immunization services in close collaboration with respective health partners, district health authorities, health facility staff, and community stakeholders. The officer will support microplanning, vaccine supply and cold chain monitoring, supportive supervision, data quality improvement, and capacity building of health workers to ensure effective delivery of immunization services in accordance with national EPI guidelines, donor requirements, and project targets.
The objective of this position is to strengthen immunization service delivery and increase equitable access to life-saving vaccines among children under five years of age and eligible women through routine and outreach strategies. S/he will ensure timely collection, analysis, and reporting of immunization data, monitor key performance indicators, and support evidence-based decision-making at health facility and district levels. This will contribute to improving vaccination coverage, reducing the number of zero-dose and under-immunized children, preventing vaccine-preventable diseases, and enhancing the overall performance and resilience of the immunization system within the targeted districts.
