About NACCHO

The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) is the national peak body representing 148 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs). ACCHOs deliver comprehensive primary health care to more than half of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples nationally.

About the Role

The Project Officer will support the Emerging Leaders Governance & Executive Leadership Training and Support Program, which includes developing governance resources and training materials for the sector, delivering governance workshops in collaboration with state and territory affiliates, NACCHO staff and pro bono lawyers, and overseeing a residential program for emerging leaders that is delivered by an external specialist provider.

Responsibilities of this role but not limited to:

  • Assist with project operations, including scheduling workshops and meetings, coordinating travel and venues, preparing materials and minutes, and managing invitations and communications.
  • Support the Assistant Director with maintaining project plans, timelines and budgets to ensure effective delivery and compliance with funding and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare progress reports, briefings and presentations on project activities for internal and external stakeholders.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Qualification in governance or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in organising and coordinating workshops and prioritising workloads
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
