Job Description

About This Opportunity

Join UQ's growing Clinical Trials Centre and play a key role in developing an innovative adaptive platform trial with the potential to shape how clinical research is delivered in real-world healthcare settings.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Principal Project Officer with strong coordination skills and an interest in clinical trials to help build a new initiative from the ground up. Working closely with the Chief Investigator, project leads, researchers, clinicians and other collaborators, you will help coordinate the activities needed to establish the trial, keep projects and documentation on track, and support effective engagement across a diverse group of stakeholders.

You'll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team where your work will have a tangible impact. You don't need to be a clinical trials expert – we're looking for someone who brings solid project coordination experience, some understanding of the clinical research environment and the enthusiasm to learn and contribute.

About You

You are an organised and proactive project professional who enjoys bringing people, information and activities together to keep projects moving. You have experience working in a complex environment and are confident managing competing priorities, coordinating stakeholders and producing high-quality project documentation.

You may have worked in clinical research, health, healthcare, universities or another complex project environment. Demonstrated experience in project coordination, project administration or a similar role.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Experience in clinical trials will be highly regarded.

At UQ, you'll be challenged, inspired and rewarded while working alongside passionate professionals who are united by a shared commitment to creating positive change. Enjoy up to 26 weeks paid parental and primary care leave, 17% super, 17.5% leave loading, flexible and hybrid working options, health and wellbeing programs, a heavily discounted Study for Staff program, on-campus childcare, affordable parking and salary packaging.
