Job Description

  • Temporary 12-month full-time opportunity  - 35 hrs/week

  • Role based in Lismore (Northern Rivers), with flexible/hybrid working environment.   

  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $ 116,981 to $129,492 + super  

About the role 

As the Project Officer, you will be responsible for a range of project management and governance support activities that contribute to the delivery of the Northern Rivers Adaptation Division projects.

As the Project Officer, you will: 

  • Prepare reports and briefs, coordinate resources, maintain project documentation and implement and monitor project plans.

  • Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations.

  • Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on divisional activities and project progress

  • Undertake research and analysis

About You  

You have strong project management experience and knowledge to support the delivery of community focused projects. Your ability to identify project interdependencies and strategic alignment across divisional programs will be key to your success. You are comfortable using multiple data sources, knowledge and experience to put forward recommendations to meet agency objectives, program compliance and project deliverables.

You have a track record of developing strong relationships and working collaboratively to provide business, project and operational support in a community focused environment. You are also flexible, show initiative and respond quickly when situations change.

Essential Requirements  

  •  Tertiary qualifications or equivalent knowledge and experience in project management, communications, or engagement.

  • Based in Northern Rivers.
