The Job at a Glance

As a Project Management Intern, you’ll support the standardization and optimization of Parts Town’s project management practices. Working closely with PMO leadership, you’ll help build governance frameworks, standardized tools, and AI-driven reporting solutions used across strategic initiatives, including enterprise transformation and high-impact AI programs.

In addition, you’ll play a hands-on role supporting the governance and delivery of one of Parts Town’s top strategic AI initiatives. This project offers high visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to contribute to work that drives meaningful business value.

This internship provides hands-on exposure to project portfolio management, PM tools like Monday.com and Jira, and real-world execution within complex, cross-functional initiatives.

A Typical Day

  • Help develop and standardize project templates, tools, and best practices across the PMO
  • Support governance processes for managing and reviewing the project portfolio
  • Partner with PMO leadership to improve structure, visibility, and consistency across active projects
  • Assist with building automated, AI-enabled project tracking, status updates, and executive reporting
  • Contribute to the governance and coordination of a high-priority, enterprise AI initiative
  • Analyze project and product data to identify trends, perform root cause analysis, and recommend improvements to AI-driven tools and workflows
  • Participate in daily check-ins, project meetings, and stakeholder updates—including exposure to senior leadership forums
  • Document processes and provide recommendations for continuous improvement

To Land This Opportunity

  • You’re pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Project Management, Management Information Systems, or a related field
  • You have a foundational understanding of project lifecycles and delivery frameworks
  • You’re interested in AI, emerging technologies, and how they can be applied to improve business processes
  • You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • You communicate clearly and are comfortable interacting with a range of stakeholders, including leadership
  • You’re proactive, adaptable, and eager to contribute to high-impact, fast-moving initiatives

Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role. The goal – to reinvent the restaurant equipment parts industry. 35 years later, we’re one of the fastest growing parts distributors in the foodservice equipment industry and have 1000+ team members who support national and international customers.

How did we do it? We hired great people with great ideas. Where others saw the impossible, our Townspeople saw opportunity. We formed important partnerships with manufacturers and built an expansive inventory of OEM parts so we can ship faster and more efficiently. We kept technology front of mind, developing the industry’s first mobile app, where you can research and purchase parts with ease (no more headaches!).
