What you’ll do
As a Project Manager, you’ll lead and manage wastewater solutions projects. You’ll also resolve scheduling, staffing and quality issues to deliver results on time and within budget. You’ll also:

  • Design and develop wastewater treatment systems, collection systems, and related infrastructure.
  • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports for municipal and industrial wastewater projects.
  • Perform hydraulic modeling, process design, and system optimization.
  • Business Development with clients in existing and new markets
  • Builds and maintains client relationships
  • Effectively communicates ideas and technical concepts to co-workers and with clients on sensitive and complex matters
  • Leads projects utilizing staff and sub-consultant resources to successful completion of projects on schedule and on budget
  • Prepares client contract, statement of qualifications, priced proposals and contracts
  • Quality control for assigned projects and clients
  • Works on complex projects
  • Prepares documents and reports
  • Performs work that involves non-conventional planning

What it takes
Ideally, you’ll have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a similar degree with appropriate experience. You should have 8 years of experience in engineering with 2+ years of Project Management experience. You should be a licensed Professional Engineer. Ideally, you’ll also:

  • Navigate Illinois Environmental Protection Agency regulations with ease.
  • Have proven client relationship management skills.
  • Be a smart worker and a team player.
  • Be well-acquainted with wastewater processes, methods, and state and federal requirements.
  • Use engineering software.
  • Speak and write well.
  • Have strong analytical and organizational skills.
