About the Role:


As a Project Manager within the Vertical Transportation group at DeSimone Consulting Engineering, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery, client communication, and team operations across multiple engagements. You’ll assist with report writing, QA/QC, project tracking, meetings, and field surveys while helping manage project timelines and client expectations. This role requires strong organization, adaptability, and communication skills and is essential to supporting the success and continued growth of the Vertical Transportation team.

What You'll Do:

  • Support the Vertical Transportation team with project coordination and general operational needs.
  • Prepare reports, technical documents, and project specifications.
  • Assist with QA/QC processes to ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Review contracts, submittals, and related documentation.
  • Track and coordinate project progress across multiple engagements.
  • Manage short‑term and long‑term deadlines, targets, and milestones.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings, including with clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Attend site visits, field surveys, and client meetings as needed.
  • Travel for client‑facing activities approximately 10%–25% of the time.
  • Work within defined project scopes and assist in resolving project issues.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients and vendors, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Use tools such as Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam Revu, Elevate, EVA/PMT, and Deltek to support project operations.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to support project decision‑making.
  • Maintain strong accuracy, attention to detail, and documentation quality

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in elevator/Vertical Transportation.
  • General knowledge of elevator/Vertical Transportation systems.
  • Ability to travel 10%–25% for project needs.
  • Up‑to‑date technical knowledge maintained through ongoing learning.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Teams, and specialized project software.

Minimum (Required) Skills:

  • Ability to write clear, accurate reports and technical documents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize shifting workloads.
  • Ability to act as a point of contact for clients and vendors.
  • Capable of problem‑solving through analytical and critical thinking.
  • Ability to participate in meetings, site visits, and field surveys.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Understanding of project scope and ability to work within defined parameters.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects with shifting priorities.
  • Growing ability to lead or participate in client-facing meetings.
  • Developing skills in presentation, public speaking, and professional communication.
  • Ability to contribute to business development efforts through client relationship‑building.
  • Understanding of resource utilization, budgeting concepts, and revenue/labor ratios.
  • Ability to foster positive team relationships and support an inclusive, collaborative culture.
  • Willingness to seek feedback, ask questions, and pursue ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to support internal operations, including timesheets, project codes, training compliance, and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Bluebeam Revu, Deltek, Elevate, EVA/PMT, Excel, and Outlook.

At DeSimone, we believe in transparency when it comes to salary and hourly rates for our job postings. Our pay range represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that we think, in good faith, we might be willing to pay, for the posted job in the specified location(s).

This position is classified as salaried, exempt. The hiring salary range for this role is anticipated to be $100,000 - $120,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications.

For this particular position, we expect to hire near the middle of the range. We understand that there may be rare and exceptional circumstances where an external candidate has experience, credentials, or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position. In these cases, we may consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
