Job Description

Our client a Commercial bank is looking to hire Project Manager – IT Application

Responsibilities:

• Manage/ Lead treasury, trading and financial / regulatory reporting projects to sustain continuous business growth, new financial products of the Bank
• Identifies and handles project and program dependencies. Lead projects that involve multiple stakeholders, ensuring project charters, integrated project plans, resource and contingency plans are prioritized and documented and that risk management processes are in place
• Co-ordinate with all stakeholders including both business, technology and vendor to support both business and system related project implementation.
• Assist in leading/ driving discussion with project members to resolve any implementation issues from both business and technical area, and drive execution according to the project plan.
• Formulate the overall project plan and schedule to report/ track all the progress.
• Lead all the project committee and steering committee to articulate any issues or potential problems for resolution, including presentation on to C level management.

Comply with the adoption of the Bank’s best practices on Project Management, Testing Portfolio Management methodology, Project Financial Management and etc. across the project life cycle.

Requirements

A) Knowledge, Skill & Attributes

• Abundant Project Management in Financial industry is necessary
• In depth knowledge of financial products, pre-trade and post-trade activities.
• Experience of a variety of banking products, finance/accounting (e.g. GL), best practices and technology, experience on internet banking implementation or operations / remittance is highly advantageous.
• Understanding treasury management and behavior of related system, e.g. Murex, Summit
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Excellent project portfolio management and leadership skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Fluent Putonghua).
• Able to work under pressure, tight and multiple deadlines.

B) Academic and Professional Qualification

• Degree holder in Business, Information Technology, Project Management or related disciplines. Holder of PMP is advantage.

C) Training and Relevant Experiences

• Minimum 5-6 years solid experience in product support, project management, preferably gained from banking sector.
• Experience in implementing any banking system or operations / remittance in the bank will be an added advantage.

Prior experience in system conversion and business integration project is a definite advantage.
