Project Manager
The Papers of Martin Van Buren seeks a full-time project manager for a five-year
appointment from April 2026-March 2031 (with employment beyond the end date dependent on
funding), at an annual salary of $40,000. The successful candidate will coordinate and organize
the project’s lifelong learning opportunities, post social media content, maintain bookkeeping
records, liaise with the Cumberland University business office on grant accounting and reporting,
assist with hiring and managing student interns, organize project files, and undertake other
project duties as assigned.
Qualifications for the position will include a bachelor’s degree; the ability to work both
independently and as part of a team; exceptional organizational and communication skills; and
experience with bookkeeping, accounting, social media platforms, and/or event planning.
Experience with the Papers of Martin Van Buren or similar projects will be considered a plus.
The successful candidate will work in person at the project office in Cumberland
University’s Vise Library, located in Lebanon, Tennessee, 30 miles east of Nashville.
