Job Description

Context & Mission Background

A leading global manufacturing and life sciences organization is executing a worldwide digital transformation program to replace legacy paper and decentralized Permit-to-Work (PTW) workflows with a unified, cloud-based Enterprise Electronic Permit-to-Work (E-PTW) SaaS solution.

The program encompasses a global rollout across dozens of production, R&D, and tertiary facilities, onboarding 20,000+ internal personnel and contractor partners. The platform integrates with enterprise ERP/CMMS and cloud data lake architectures.

Delivery Governance: Hybrid Model

• Waterfall Program Governance: Multi-wave deployment gates, compliance sign-offs, centralized testing gates, and transition to steady-state Run/Support.
• Agile Sprints: Iterative core-model build, configuration sprints, interface testing, and continuous feedback loops.

Role Overview

The Project Manager & Test Lead will orchestrate the global multi-wave deployment while establishing, structuring, and leading the Centralized Testing & Quality Assurance Workstream (Core Model validation, System Integration Testing / SIT, and centralized User Acceptance Testing / UAT).

Key Responsibilities

1. Hybrid Program & Multi-Wave Governance

• Lead global program execution across all deployment phases (Core Build, Pilot Phase, Multi-Wave Rollouts, and Handover to Run/AIMS).
• Maintain the master project schedule, milestones, dependencies, budget envelope, and RAID log.
• Facilitate Agile configuration ceremonies while enforcing Waterfall stage gates (Core Model Sign-Off, Centralized UAT Go/No-Go, Site Deployment Readiness, Hypercare Exit).
• Align technical delivery milestones with the Change Management team’s ADKAR gate reviews.

1. Centralized Test Strategy & Testing Team Leadership

• Define, govern, and execute the Centralized Test Strategy covering Unit, SIT, Core Model UAT, Non-Regression, and Interface/Data Testing.
• Lead and coordinate the centralized test team, managing technical testers, business representatives, and vendor test engineers.
• Define formal Entry/Exit criteria for Centralized UAT and manage defect triage workflows and SLA tracking in Jira.
• Oversee integration and data-flow testing between the SaaS solution, enterprise ERP/CMMS systems, and enterprise data platforms.
• Produce formal test summary reports and quality metrics for executive Steering Committees and formal deployment stage gates.

1. Vendor & Partner Delivery Management

• Manage deliverables, technical backlogs, and commitments with the external SaaS provider and systems integrators.
• Track enterprise dependencies including IAM/Single Sign-On and external contractor access frameworks.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years in Project Management within global manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, or regulated industrial environments.
• Methodology: Proven track record in Hybrid delivery (PMP / PRINCE2 combined with Agile / Scrum / SAFe).
• Testing Leadership: 4+ years leading testing teams and managing structured test lifecycles (ISTQB certification or equivalent practical expertise).
• Tooling: Advanced proficiency in Jira, Confluence, test management and familiarity with enterprise ERP/CMMS ecosystems.

Languages: at least upper-intermediate English (mandatory); French or additional European languages will be a big plus
