The Technology Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the systems engineering management plan for the Opal 2.0 program, tracking the delivery of Integration Assurance Services (IAS) by the program’s IAS supplier and managing the implementation of the new digital customer channels platform for the program, working with the digital channels team in Customer Technology.
Working with the Opal 2.0 program’s Technology Solution Program Manager, you will ensure that the Opal 2.0 suppliers are following the program’s systems engineering approach and that the program’s IAS supplier is delivering effective integration assurance services (e.g. tracking to quality, cost, and value targets). In addition, you will work with the digital channels delivery manager in Customer Technology to ensure that the required uplift to Transport’s digital customer channels (e.g. transportnsw.info, OTA, Transport Connect etc.) is delivered in time to support the key go-live dates for the Opal 2.0 cutover.
You will help to drive the end-to-end delivery of your assigned projects, in line with Transport project management methodologies.
This will include all the key aspects of project management, such as scope, budget, schedule, vendor management, risks and issues, stakeholders, and resourcing.
The Opal 2.0 program refers to the full modernisation of the Opal ticketing system to deliver smarter, digital-first, integrated public transport across NSW.

This is a fixed term flexible hybrid role to 30 September 2028. Please note, 50% of your time will be office based, from one of our home offices at Parramatta Square and/or Macquarie Park. Salary - $163,145.00 - $182,721.00 + super.
