Job Description

Wood are seeking an ambitious Project Manager to lead and execute projects across all four business segments within Technical Services. The role entails end-to-end responsibility for project management, including developing targeted proposals, building and maintaining client relationships, leading contract negotiations, and ensuring successful project execution and delivery. The position will report to Director of Technical Services.

Technical Services (TS) is undergoing a significant transformation to strengthen execution, scalability, and long‑term competitiveness. As part of this journey, Digital Services (DS) and Low Carbon Solutions (LCS) are being further developed as a strategic growth area, and we are now recruiting six key roles to support this ambition. One overall, 4 dedicated to DS and one dedicated to LCS.

  • Identify, pursue and develop opportunities for innovation to bring value to Wood and the client
  • Responsible for establishing project procedures and preparing project execution plan
  • Responsible for delivering the agreed schedule and financial performance, proactively addressing deviations, and regularly reporting project progress and status to senior management and the client.
  • Guide and direct a multidiscipline project team, which may include external specialists/sub-contractors and involve staff from multiple offices and sites.
  • Continuously manage risks and opportunities throughout project execution
  • Responsible for contracts related to the projects
  • More than 10 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of EPCIC project execution, including management, engineering, and procurement
  • Strong technical knowledge and multidiscipline understanding
  • Experienced in contract management and negotiations
  • Experience with sales and marketing activities
  • Experience working in cross-functional leadership teams and contributing to business area strategy

For the right candidate, the role can gradually transition into a defined service/product or market ownership.

We seek candidates with a strong commitment to contribute to our customers’ success and, through this, strengthen Wood’s position and reputation. The right candidates are positive, curious, structured, accountable, and are motivated by contributing across functions to develop the broader team and organization. Flexibility and internal mobility are essential, as is the ability to build strong and trusted relationships, both internally and externally.

Technical Services works closely with large parts of Wood’s global organization, providing unique opportunities to leverage extensive technical and industrial expertise.

We offer

  • An opportunity to be part of building something new—from the ground up—in close alignment with our mandate and ambitions
  • The opportunity to be part of a company that values innovation, quality, and sustainability
  • Attractive compensation and benefits, combined with an inclusive and supportive workplace culture
  • Work from whichever of our offices suits you best, either Sandefjord, Porsgrunn, Oslo, Bergen, or Stavanger

Technical Services in Wood is in a strong phase of growth and development, characterized by a clear “can‑do” mindset. We place great emphasis on collaboration and mutual support, particularly as we explore new services and value chains and, in many cases, position ourselves as a challenger in the market. The Nordics are our core region.
