TotalEnergies has set an ambitious target of reaching 100 GW of renewable generation capacity by 2030. Within this ambition, the Distributed Generation Business Unit (DG), which has already signed 2,2GW of projects worldwide, aims to contribute to 6GW by 2030.
TotalEnergies Renewables Distributed Generation (DG), created in 2019 as a fully owned subsidiary of TotalEnergies SE, develops, finances, builds, and operates industrial and commercial solar PV systems worldwide. Typical projects range from 1 MW to 20 MWp, based on an onsite self consumption (Power Purchase Agreement “PPA”) model, with possible integration of battery storage solutions.
Scope of responsibility:
oSuccessfully execute projects in a timely manner, as per the agreed specifications, in the allocated budget, and with 100% compliance to TTE requirements and HSE standards.
oLead the project managers team.
oReports hierarchically to the local Country Manager and transversally to the Regional Technical Manager.
The Project Manager Team Lead is responsible for :
Client management
oOptimized Client communication in projects execution
oExecute the Project in compliance with PPA requirements (e.g. Condition Precedent)
oManage and hold regular progress meetings with Client
oManage Site completion and acceptance on Commercial Operation (COD) with Client
EPC management
oOptimize the capex, to be in line with the local market prices and DG guidelines.
oManage EPC Tender, Review BOM, EPC selection
oEnsure approvals of engineering documents with Engineering Center prior to execution.
oEnsure building structure and rooftop are fully compliant with TotalEnergies guidelines, before starting project construction.
oPrepare and ensure each EPC contract internal approval on time and within approved budget (e.g. contract committee approval before NTP)
oManage EPC contract (contractor due diligence on time, contract negotiation, EPC budget & contract closing)
oEnsure compliance by all project contractors to relevant legislation and Company HSE requirements, values, guidelines, procedures and standards
oEnsure the EPC bonds quality and validity, as required by TotalEnergies standards (project execution and DLP 2 years period)
oReview method statement of execution from contractors and ensure compliance with TotalEnergies rules and standards
oManage EPC Delay LD & Project Hand Over
oManage and process all permitting, license etc related documents on time with EPC & with relevant government authorities, in full compliance with regulation
oManage EPC monthly budget, Ensure no variation order and the project is executed within the approved budget in local currency
oEnsure update of as built documentation, align with O&M and Engineering Center prior to handover to O&M team
oEvaluate EPC performance after each project execution
oEnsure site inspections for all projects, for safety on site and quality assessment
oFind new EPC contractors and ensure that all EPC contractors are qualified,
oEnsure full compliance with Company Technical & HSE referential and standards.
O&M management
oCoordinate handover with local O&M team before project completion
oEnsure full Project handover documentation, PR tests and as-built PV syst are provided on time
oFacilitate O&M team for troubleshooting operational issues during defects liability period of EPC contractor.

General
oEngage with Engineering Center and ensure the designs are all optimized with the actual site conditions
oAnticipate and act for all potential challenges in Project execution
oEnsure projects are covered by active insurance, as per TotalEnergies standards
oManage all projects in full compliance with HSE and technical specifications per TotalEnergies requirements
oEnsure all projects related permits, approval from the concerned authorities on time for construction, commissioning and start of operations
oUpdate and manage all activities through the company projects management tools
oInteract with teams at APAC Hub/ HQ to share best practices, and improve country projects execution efficiency
oEnsure active capex reduction
oEnsure efficient internal Hand Over : Sales to PM, PM to O&M
oCoordinate with Finance accounting, procurement & O&M teams on invoice issuance, COD, COC
oAct as a strong, collaborative member of the regional PM Team leads team and in the country team
oSupport country Project Managers and actively contribute to their ongoing coaching and capability development
oManage recruitment of projects managers, their onboarding and team performance evaluation
•Holds an engineering degree (mechanical or electrical), preferably a master in energy or related field
•Min. 10 years of experience in rooftop solar projects execution.
•Proven track record and experience of project lifecycle from bidding to operations.
•Rigor, zero compromise with HSE deviation and holds work at height certificate
•Strong analytical skills and Creative problem-solving skills
•Ability to handle complex situations and work under pressure
•Organized, proven autonomy, ability to prioritize tasks and initiatives
•Ability to travel as assigned.
•Knowledge of engineering and solar specific softwares (Helioscope, Meteonorm, PVSyst) is highly desirable
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office
•Excellent communication skills in English and the local language.
•Leadership experience in managing a diverse team.
