Project Management Leader

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to combine technical leadership with project management responsibilities, ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects from initiation through completion. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage project priorities, and serve as a key interface between customers, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions Division of ABB and will be responsible for the following:

• Working with customers and internal stakeholders to define and deliver solutions that meet technical, commercial, and operational requirements.
• Planning, coordinating, and controlling project activities to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Leading multidisciplinary teams and aligning engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, commissioning, and service activities.
• Monitoring project risks, opportunities, costs, and performance, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Managing projects end-to-end, balancing technical excellence with successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications for the Role

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• You have preferably more than 5 years of experience in engineering project execution, electrical systems, automation, power distribution, or related industrial environments.
• Demonstrated project management experience and strong understanding of project planning, risk management, cost control, and stakeholder management. Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA or equivalent) is considered an advantage.
• Passionate about achieving business results, customer satisfaction, and successful project outcomes.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
• Customer-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• You are at ease communicating in Italian and English, both written and spoken.

Compensation Package

As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico

Minimum annual salary: €48.000,00

Variable Pay: AIP target 5% + Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus

The offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications, internal market positioning and alignment with ABB internal standards.
