Become part of AFRY success story within the BESS & RENEWABLES team.

We support clients across the entire power project value chain — from greenfield feasibility studies to tender support, Owner’s Engineer assignments, and Lender’s Engineering services.

Your tasks:

• Lead complex technical assignments: due diligence, technical advisory, performance monitoring reports for different stakeholders such as Lenders, Sponsors or Owners.
• Participate, as an active member with previous experience on design review and supervise design review processes.
• Manage the entire project life cycle, from sales up to closure capturing and disseminating lessons learned.

Your main duties will include Project Execution tasks in various projects and stages from sales proposal to execution projects.

Working side by side with project teams is also in a leadership position to execute project duties in most efficient way including typically:

• due diligences
• lender and owner’s engineering
• contractor’s engineering
• engineering advisory service
• various coordination tasks

Qualifiche

The ideal candidate has a university degree in Electrical/Energetic Engineering, is fluent in both English and Italian, has solid knowledge in electrical power systems for renewables (in particular BESS and solar), HV substations and transmission lines, grid codes and energy markets. The Candidate is also able to learn and use engineering software tools (i.e. AutoCAD, EPLAN), performing simple economic models and write professional technical reports.

• You have at least 5-10 years of professional experience within renewable energy context (in particular BESS and PV) with an EPC Contractor, Developer, Utility, IPP or consulting company in a technical or project execution role
• You thrive on problems and situations for which there is no prior experience and can create valuable solutions effectively and efficiently. You are skilled at structuring unclear situations and client problems into actionable tasks and projects.
• You make decisions, act proactively and on your initiative. You do not require daily mentoring or close supervision.
• You are a good communicator and can reduce complex issues to understandable arguments and presentations for the top management and colleagues from different cultural backgrounds. We pay attention to structured and articulate writing and presentation skills; therefore, fluency orally and in writing business English and Italian is required. Additional languages such as French, Spanish, Portuguese, or German are a plus.
• You enjoy a work environment where constructive debate is encouraged in an open, professional, and non-hierarchical manner to create better solutions for our clients
• You are accustomed to working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines, and you have no objections to traveling, as it is an essential part of your role.

Very important for foreign nationals: You must hold a B2 Italian language certification, a valid work‑related residence permit (if applicable), a tax identification number (codice fiscale), and a health insurance card (tessera sanitaria)
