Project Manager (Senior)

United States Capitol Police, Office of Information Services Location United States Capitol Police, Southwest Washington, DC (499 South Capitol Street SW) Schedule Full-Time. Core hours 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Minimum 2 days on-site per week, up to 3 days telework, after a mandatory 2-month full-time on-site acclimation period. Personnel Status Non-Key Personnel Security Must be able to pass a criminal history check and fingerprinting, and be issued a USCP identification/access badge, prior to starting work. About the Role

The Project Manager provides IT project management support for up to 10 projects of varying size and complexity within USCP's Office of Information Services, working within a structured Project Management Office (PMO) framework in support of a fast-paced federal law enforcement IT environment.

What You'll Do

• Work with USCP OIS staff to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Assist in defining project scope and objectives with stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation (plans, requirements, communications, agendas).
• Identify and track risks/issues to resolution.
• Manage approved changes to scope, schedule, and costs.
• Report project status to management, staff, and stakeholders.
• Apply project management methodologies (Agile, Kanban, or Waterfall) as appropriate.
• Monitor project performance using standard tools (MS Project, Teams/Planner/Planner Premium, SharePoint, ServiceNow, or similar PPM dashboards).
• Support PMO activities by coordinating with groups on internal reviews and tracking completion of findings.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing IT projects of varying size and complexity, including enterprise-level initiatives.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, required.
• An Agile certification, required: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
