Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)

Contract Length: 12 months (possible extension)

Compensation: $47/$54 per hour (based on experience)

Summary of the Role

Join a big biopharma leader's CMC Integration team as a Senior Project Manager, supporting Process Development and Product Advancement. This role integrates Process Development activities and manages cross-functional project schedules for pipeline programs, including pivotal, life cycle management, and commercial projects. You will work collaboratively with technical and business leaders to drive alignment and on-time delivery across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules for multiple process development programs
• Manage cross-functional teams within Process Development for biologics and synthetics
• Partner with technical leads and operations to identify and deliver key project milestones
• Draft and revise timeline scenarios to inform and adjust project execution
• Ensure clear, aligned communication in team and governance meetings
• Drive decision-making processes, support business improvements, and facilitate best practice sharing
• Establish and manage team collaboration sites and repositories for deliverables
• Conduct project reporting, including risk analysis and product metric tracking
• Partner with business analysis to report on performance and outcomes

Required Experience & Skills

• 7-10 years of project management experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare environments
• Strong technical background in pharma/biotech
• Proficient with project management tools such as MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Teams, and SharePoint
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating complex schedules
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 6 years or Bachelor's degree with 8 years of project management experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in pharma, biotech or healthcare; direct CMC experience preferred
• Expertise in drug substance, drug product, or device projects
• Experience with Planisware, Smartsheet, and other advanced project management platforms
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

1. Project management expertise in pharma, biotech, or healthcare
2. Proficiency in standard project management tools (MS Project, Excel, MS Teams, SharePoint)
3. Strong technical experience with cross-functional team management

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate deliverables for process development teams
• Work closely with product delivery stakeholders to align clinical, toxicology, and commercial timelines
• Create, maintain, and adjust detailed project schedules and timelines
• Lead meetings, foster team communication, and support decision-making
• Maintain collaboration tools and track all program deliverables
• Prepare risk analyses and reports for product leadership

Basic Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Project Management experience
• Master’s degree and 5-7 years of Project Management experience
• Bachelor’s degree and 7-10+ years of Project Management experience
• Associate’s degree and 10 years of Project Management experience
• High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Project Management experience
