Job Description

What to Expect

The Security Engineering (SecEng) team is responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining Access Control, Video Surveillance, and Intrusion systems across all Tesla corporate, manufacturing, production, and sales environments. The goal of our team is to ensure all current and future Tesla facilities are equipped with the necessary security systems that are critical for the safety of our employees as well as public visitors. As Tesla continues to grow at a rapid speed, our responsibility to provide and maintain the proper security systems to all new locations continues to increase. Our team is looking for a Project Manager specializing in Physical Security who will be able to lead a high volume of projects across our lines of business simultaneously. This role will report to our North America (NORAM) Security Engineering Program Manager and will support a high volume of fast-moving projects throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico.

You will be expected to perform with little guidance while still taking the initiative, showing integrity, and operating with a strong sense of urgency, all while managing projects with complex dependencies and tight timelines. You will play a critical role in executing impactful company-wide initiatives as our team strives to continuously improve the effectiveness and resiliency of Tesla security systems across the organization.

The right fit for our team will be a highly motivated, self-sufficient candidate who will be accountable for their work and communicate their goals and objectives effectively to drive key results. They will provide insight and bring creative solutions to potential problems that they may encounter. The ideal candidate must be highly detail-oriented, a lifelong learner, and be able to break through communication barriers in a way that builds trust and creates strong relationships with all our partners. We are looking for someone who will bring the right attitude, the flexibility to adapt to consistent process improvements, and a willingness to get involved to foster alignment with the rest of the SecEng team.
