The opportunity
We are looking for a Project Manager for Secondary Engineering to join our team. In this role, you will manage secondary engineering projects (LCC local control cabinets) from handover from sales until the end of installation, including engineering and production in collaboration with primary engineering and under the leadership of the Commercial Project Manager of the GIS Project.
How you’ll make an impact
Lead secondary engineering projects from handover from sales, clarification of specifications, and full project management scope (scope, time, cost)
Coordinate with the Commercial Project Manager on time, scope, and cost
Lead engineering activities with the extended workbench (base design and detail design)
Detect deviations and claims, clarify with customers, and conduct customer meetings
Achieve design freeze and customer approval, create production documents, and support production in feeder factories or supplier factories
Conduct final acceptance tests with customers, support site installation and commissioning, and create as-built documents for project close-out
Actively participate in project reporting structures such as the digital project board
Assist with sales and tender processes. Provide support to the production line
Contribute to development projects and improvement initiatives
Your background
Min. 5 years experience in engineering of secondary projects and project management
Financial and technical competence for executing secondary projects according to internal guidelines
Fluency in English is required; fluency in German and other languages is desired
Experience with tools such as Zuken E3 is a plus
Independent, well-structured, and autonomous way of working with self-control of work and associated actions
Responsibility for technical and standard-compliant project execution, coordination with upstream and downstream departments, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations (ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001)
