🏢 About CARE ADHD

CARE ADHD is revolutionising private ADHD healthcare by making assessments and treatment more affordable and accessible. We're building a comprehensive digital healthcare platform including a patient portal, mobile applications, and AI-powered tools to transform ADHD care delivery. With ambitious plans to become the largest ADHD service provider outside the NHS within five years, we're committed to innovation and excellence in patient care.

👤 The Role

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager on a 6month maternity cover contract, with the possibility of a further 6 month extension.

You'll lead the delivery of software projects across our digital healthcare platform. You'll be responsible for shipping high-quality web and mobile applications that directly impact patient care and experience.

This is a hands-on delivery role. You'll work with multi-disciplinary development teams in Bangalore and collaborate closely with UK-based product and clinical leadership to deliver software projects on time, within scope, and to a high standard. Healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential—what matters is your track record of successfully delivering complex software projects.

💼 What You'll Do

Lead Software Project Delivery

  • Plan, manage, and deliver software projects across web (Next.js/React.js), mobile (Flutter), and backend (AWS) platforms
  • Translate product requirements and user stories into detailed, actionable Jira tickets with clear acceptance criteria
  • Break down complex features into deliverable units of work that development teams can estimate and execute
  • Own project timelines, dependencies, and deliverables from kick off through to production release
  • Define clear acceptance criteria and ensure projects meet technical and healthcare compliance requirements
  • Track and report on project progress, risks, and blockers to UK leadership
  • Coordinate release planning and deployment activities with development and operations teams

Run Effective Scrum Teams

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews
  • Lead backlog refinement sessions to groom, estimate, and prepare tickets for upcoming sprints
  • Work with Product Owners to maintain and prioritise the product backlog
  • Remove blockers and create an environment where the team can deliver at pace
  • Coach teams on Agile best practices and continuous improvement
  • Track sprint metrics (velocity, burn-down, cycle time) and drive team performance

Manage Multi-Disciplinary Teams

  • Coordinate across developers, QA engineers, designers, and DevOps to ensure smooth collaboration
  • Ensure quality is built into the process through embedded testing, code reviews, and QA cycles
  • Bridge communication between Bangalore-based development teams and UK stakeholders across time zones
  • Build strong working relationships and maintain team morale and engagement

Maintain Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure robust testing practices, including functional, integration, and user acceptance testing
  • Work with QA to establish and maintain quality gates throughout the development lifecycle
  • Maintain project documentation for compliance, audit, and knowledge sharing purposes
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to security, data protection, and patient safety
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory requirements and data security standards

✅ What We're Looking For

Essential

  • 5+ years** of experience as a Project Manager or Delivery Manager in software development
  • Proven track record** of delivering multiple software projects from conception to production
  • Hands-on experience** managing multi-disciplinary teams (developers, QA, designers, DevOps)
  • Strong Scrum/Agile delivery** experience—you know how to run sprints that actually deliver value
  • Technical fluency**—you understand the software development lifecycle and can have meaningful conversations with engineers
  • Experience coordinating **distributed teams** across different time zones
  • Excellent **stakeholder management**—you can manage expectations and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to unblock teams and drive decisions

Desirable

  • Experience with Next.js/React.js, Flutter, Node.js, or similar modern tech stacks
  • Background in healthcare, HealthTech, or regulated industries
  • Understanding of data security, GDPR, and healthcare compliance requirements
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) or project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2)
  • Strong experience with Jira —you know how to write tickets that developers can actually work from and see value in organised structure
  • Experience with Confluence or similar project management and documentation tools
  • Previous start-up or scale-up experience

What Success Looks Like

  • You've shipped multiple web or mobile applications and can talk us through what you delivered and how
  • You're comfortable jumping into sprint planning and knowing whether the team can realistically commit
  • You can spot risks early and know when to escalate vs. when to solve them yourself
  • You know the difference between "Agile" and "doing Agile"—and have the battle scars to prove it

🎁 What We Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Hybrid working - 3 days per week in Canary Wharf
  • 33 days holiday (including UK public holidays & pro rate for duration of contract)
  • Birthday day off - paid day off on your birthday
  • Pension contributions
  • Office equipment provided for home setup
  • Team social events and get-togethers
  • Impactful work — build technology that directly improves patient wellbeing
  • Growth opportunity —be part of a fast-growing HealthTech start-up with international reach
  • Innovative environment —work on cutting-edge healthcare technology including AI-driven tools
