Job Description

Leidos is seeking an experienced Project Manager who is interested in supporting large information technology projects for our Utility Technologies Solutions team. In this role, you will be driving the execution and delivery of an IT project for our various electric utility clients. Additionally, you will ensure the successful delivery of projects while adhering Leidos' Mission, Vision, and Values.

This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and implementing complex, large-scale SAP modernization projects to support organizational goals in the Appliance Service Business. The individual will oversee key aspects of the project management lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and execution. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and demonstrated experience leading large-scale initiatives from strategy through implementation while coordinating internal teams, contractors, and vendors.

Location: This position is based in Newark, New Jersey. Qualified candidates must reside within a commutable distance and be able to work onsite at client offices three days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead execution and coordination of the Appliance Service Business (ASB) workstream within the EAM Program
  • Partner with Appliance Service Operations, Field Services, Customer Operations, Scheduling, Dispatch, Supply Chain, and IT teams to support Day 1 readiness and implementation activities
  • Manage integrated project plans, dependencies, interfaces, milestones, risks, issues, and action items across business and technology teams
  • Coordinate operational readiness, cutover, stabilization, and post-go-live support activities to support successful implementation and transition outcomes
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across field operations, warehousing, transportation services, supply chain, and enterprise technology teams
  • Support governance activities, status reporting, escalation management, and executive stakeholder communications
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve delivery, operational, and process-related risks and issues
  • Support implementation and stabilization activities within the existing delivery and EAM team structure
  • Coordinate testing, training, business readiness, and change management activities as required
  • Ensure alignment between business operations, technology solutions, and enterprise transformation objectives
  • Support process integration across service operations, inventory management, logistics, transportation scheduling, and asset management functions

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or related degree with 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Strong experience managing integrated business and IT workstreams
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional operational teams, dependencies, and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience supporting Day 1 readiness, cutover planning, operational readiness, stabilization, and post-implementation support activities preferred
  • Experience within utility, energy, field service, or asset-intensive industries preferred
  • Familiarity with field service operations, dispatching, scheduling, work order management, and customer service operations preferred
  • Experience supporting Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), ERP, or service management implementations preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently within a complex client delivery environment
  • Experience with SAP enterprise platforms required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, JIRA, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, or similar tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection and company guidelines where applicable

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous project management experience within a utility environment

Pay Range:

Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
