Job Description

We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto office Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager and Senior Business Analyst to lead strategic technology and business transformation initiatives within our lending operations. In this role, you will manage end-to-end projects including data migrations, system implementations, API integrations, and process improvement initiatives, while partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders. The successful candidate will bring strong Agile project management expertise, a deep understanding of lending and financial services, and a proven ability to translate business requirements into effective technology solutions.

About the day-to-day:

  • Led end-to-end data migration initiatives for lending and real estate finance operations, including current-state and future-state assessments, data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and successful transitions from legacy and core banking systems.
  • Managed onboarding and integration of new technology platforms and API connections, ensuring seamless connectivity between business applications, third-party vendors, and enterprise systems while minimizing operational disruption.
  • Partnered with business and operations teams to gather, analyze, and validate business requirements, translating them into technology solutions that improved operational efficiency, scalability, and customer experience.
  • Identified and implemented AI-driven process improvement opportunities, leveraging automation and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, enhance decision-making, and support continuous operational excellence.
  • Oversee all lending product support, maintenance, and enterprise technology initiatives, including intake and prioritization of new technology requests, while providing guidance to Business Analysts in developing clear requirements, process maps, and solution recommendations.
  • Accountable for the planning and successful delivery of projects, managing scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies to ensure projects were completed on time and within budget.
  • Provided leadership across cross-functional teams, influencing stakeholders, resolving conflicts, removing roadblocks, and driving execution in complex business and technology environments.
  • Established and maintained strong stakeholder and client relationships, ensuring alignment on project objectives, business priorities, deliverables, and expected outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implemented project governance frameworks, including communications, status reporting, change control, risk management, issue escalation, and documentation management to support effective decision-making and delivery excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and post-implementation support, coordinating warranty periods, conducting lessons learned reviews, and identifying opportunities to enhance business processes, technology capabilities, and operational performance.
  • As a subject matter expert, will provide Sales Support and Operational Support as and when required.

About the qualifications:

  • 5+ years project management and implementations experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the finance industry, ideally in the Lending space.
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM project management methodologies.
  • Relevant post-secondary education and/or certifications.
  • Well proven experience as Sr. Business Analyst.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and multitask on multiple projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Experience using project management software such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Basecamp or similar.
  • Understanding of relational databases and SQL and asset.
  • Ability to work closely with multiple internal teams.

About the work environment:

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.

Compensation:

The expected salary for this role is approximately $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
