We are currently filling a key role as Project Manager for Research-funded Projects at a cutting-edge IT infrastructure security company focused on quantum technologies.
In this position, you will take the lead in managing national and international R&D projects, overseeing everything from initial proposal drafting and consortium coordination to meticulous financial reporting and strategic stakeholder communication.
We are seeking an individual with extensive experience in managing publicly funded research initiatives, demonstrating a profound understanding of frameworks such as Horizon Europe, and possessing professional fluency in both English and German.
| WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Lead the strategic direction of national and international R&D projects, ensuring alignment with funding guidelines (e.g., Horizon Europe, BMBF, BMWK) and company objectives.
* Craft compelling project proposals, covering technical work packages, detailed budgetary plans, and necessary administrative documentation, in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
* Act as the central coordinator for project consortia, managing communication flows and fostering strong relationships with all stakeholders.
* Administer project budgets, meticulously track expenditures, generate comprehensive financial reports, and guarantee full compliance with administrative and contractual obligations.
* Develop and present clear project progress reports for funding agencies, internal leadership, and consortium collaborators.
* Proactively identify and assess potential project risks, devising effective mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery and successful outcomes.
* Drive the dissemination of project results and pinpoint opportunities for their strategic exploitation, actively contributing to the overall innovation pipeline.
| WHOM WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* A completed university degree (Master’s or PhD) in a STEM discipline, Economics, or Business Administration.
* Demonstrated experience in the administrative and technical stewardship of EU and national funding schemes (e.g., Horizon Europe, BMBF, BMWK).
* Extensive expertise across the entire proposal generation process, including comprehensive budget planning and administrative coordination.
* A strong aptitude for managing complex consortia and cultivating high-level relationships with both academic and industrial stakeholders.
* Superb organizational capabilities for diligently monitoring project milestones, deliverables, and stringent financial reporting requirements.
* Professional fluency in both German and English, crucial for effective documentation and international collaboration.
* A strategic outlook, capable of effectively translating technical innovations into well-structured, fundable project proposals.

In this role, you can work hybrid remote (2 days remote) from our office in Vienna.
