Job Description

Hej Project Manager Range & Product Communication

The IKEA vision is to create a better everyday life for the many people – and we’re always searching for new and better ways to do it. We use our home furnishing knowledge to create products and solutions that will enable more people to live the life they want. Through creativity, IKEA Marketing & Communication connects the heart of IKEA to the hearts and minds of the many people.

We are based in Älmhult, Sweden – the heart of IKEA. From here, we create, produce and deliver inspiring content that helps our retail markets grow and strengthens IKEA as a purpose-led brand and expert in life at home. We are proud of our craftsmanship and believe it should always go hand in hand with technology. As marketing and communication continue to evolve, we are simplifying the way we work, speeding up development and continuously improving how we create, produce and distribute high quality content at scale.

This role is positioned in IMC. You will belong to the IMC Operations team, reporting to the IMC Operations Manager.

Our team is based in Älmhult. We believe that your presence with the team and working the majority of the time in the workplace is important.

Your next role

In your next role, you will be part of IMC, a key creative partner within the IKEA ecosystem. IMC creates communication for all IKEA retailers—always at the lowest cost—combining deep home furnishing knowledge with a strong passion for the IKEA range to develop content that strengthens the brand and inspires growth.

As a creative partner, IMC delivers content aligned with business priorities and consumer insights, using scalable ways of working to meet both todays and tomorrow’s needs.

In this role, you will manage and lead a team of Project Leaders within Range & Product Communication. You will be responsible for driving and leading the operational business agenda for range and product communication, people and business development, ways of working, team performance, and overall business results.

You will set direction and ensure strong project execution across the team, enabling Project Leaders to run projects end-to-end—from brief to delivery—in a structured, insight‑based way. Your focus will be on delivering impactful communication on time, within scope, and within budget.

Additionally, you will develop and maintain effective and efficient project management frameworks and routines. These will support team success, strengthen collaboration across functions and companies, and improve flow, efficiency, and scalability across ideation, creation, production, and delivery.

On a typical working day, you will:

  • Lead, coach and develop Project Leaders to deliver projects end-to-end with clear scope, priorities, timelines, and strong execution.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across functions and companies to align expectations, ensure delivery, and capture learnings for continuous improvement.

  • Drive and continuously improve project management and Range & Product Communication ways of working to increase efficiency, quality and scalability.

  • Connect ideation, creation and production through clear workflows, roles and use of new technology to enable effective collaboration and impactful outcomes.

  • Build team capability and performance through recruitment, coaching and a supportive, inclusive environment, while ensuring cost-efficient, high‑quality delivery aligned with business priorities.

Qualifications

What we’d like you to bring to the table

In the role as a Project Manager Range & Product Communication we requires you to have:

  • Strong project leadership experience – confidently leading complex, fast-moving projects and creating clarity, structure, and delivery across multiple streams.
  • Proven ability to work in creative, retail, or production environments, managing cross-functional teams from brief to final delivery.
  • A continuous improvement mindset – using insights, technology, and learnings to enhance ways of working, efficiency, and collaboration.
  • Solid expertise in project management methods, tools, and workflows, especially within content creation and production.
  • A natural coordinator – skilled at managing dependencies, timelines, and stakeholder expectations in high-volume environments.
  • Understanding of content production and planning, and how strong project leadership drives successful delivery.
  • A collaborative and inclusive leadership style, building strong teams through coaching, feedback, and trust.
  • Connection to the IKEA brand, values, and ways of working, with an interest in digital tools and innovation within communication and production.
