Project Manager (Proposals) - Water/Wastewater Sector

Working Pattern (Time/Hours): Monday-Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm
of the role:
The Project Manager (Proposals) will be responsible for leading, developing and managing a team to deliver competitive and accurate Water & Wastewater DB/DBO cost proposals.
The role will involve liaising, negotiation and relationship management with our clients in a collaborative manner whilst protecting the interest of Veolia at all stages.
The role will also be involved in working closely with supply chain, partners, subcontractors and internal teams (engineering, proposals, contracts, procurement etc.) to ensure that competitive tenders are delivered successfully and on a timely basis.
Duties of the Role include;
Lead and manage a portfolio of proposals
Lead and manage a team of engineers involved in developing costs & solutions
Ownership of commercial and technical aspect of the proposals process
Collaborative interaction with the clients to develop cost models
Playing an integral part in the design and engineering development process
Collaborative interaction with delivery team to ensure lessons learned are applied and peer reviews are carried out in a timely manner
Collaborative interaction and management of supply partners and supply chain during target cost development phase
Developing accurate and competitive target costs
Evaluation and selection of suitable partners, technologies, equipment and vendors including sourcing alternative vendors
Ensuring that all risks are clearly identified and that costs and responsibilities are clearly apportioned and documented and agree Program of works with partners
Adhere to all internal Governance procedures
Required skills for this role;
Accredited NFQ Level 8 Honors Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline
5+ years relevant post qualification experience in the tender or execution of water/wastewater engineering projects. Will also consider more experienced candidates.
Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment industry
Extensive knowledge of current markets conditions
