This is an opportunity to play a key role in transforming our resort portfolio and delivering projects that directly enhancethe guestexperience.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on, end-to-end project delivery role

You will take responsibility for assigned refurbishment and capital projects frominitialscoping and feasibility through design, procurement, construction,commissioningand final handover to Resort Operations.

Working closely with Resort Managers, internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors,suppliersand trades, you willbe responsible fordelivering projects safely, efficiently, on time and within approved budgets.

You will be expected to take ownership of your projects,identifyissues early, developsolutionsand drive delivery rather than simply administer the process.

Whatyou’llbe doing

• Lead refurbishment and construction projects frominceptionthrough tocompletion and operational handover.

• Develop project scopes, budgets,programmesand procurement strategies.

• Engage and manage architects, engineers, consultants, contractors,suppliersand specialist trades.

• Prepare and manage tenders,quotationsand construction contracts.

• Negotiate commercial outcomes and manage contractor performance.

• Monitor project costs, commitments,forecastsand variations.

• Identifyopportunities for value engineering and cost savings.

• Manage constructionprogrammesand critical path activities.

• Conduct regular site inspections andmaintaina hands-on understanding of project progress.

• Coordinateworkswithin operational hotels and resorts whileminimisingdisruption to guests and Resort Operations.

• Manage quality, safety, compliance,defectsand practical completion.

• Resolve construction issues, latentconditionsand project risks.

• Provideaccurateproject reporting,forecastingand financial control.

• Successfully hand over completed projects to Resort Operations.

About You

You are a self-starter who takes ownership

Youdon’twait for problems to resolvethemselvesand youdon’tneed to be constantly directed. You are comfortable making decisions, coordinating multiplestakeholdersand driving projects forward in challenging environments.

You will ideally bring:

• Proven experience delivering refurbishment and construction projects frominceptionto completion.

• Strong hotel, resort, hospitality, commercial or accommodation refurbishment experience.

• Excellent knowledge of construction processes, buildingpracticesand project delivery.

• Strong tendering,procurementand contract administration experience.

• Demonstrated commercial and budget management capability.

• Proven ability to manage contractors, consultants,suppliersand trades.

• Strong planning,programmingandorganisationalskills.

• Excellent communication,negotiationand stakeholder management skills.

• A practical,solutions-focused approach.

• High attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.

• The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with a broader team

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction, Building, Engineering, Architecture, ProjectManagementor a related discipline are desirable; equivalent industry experience will be considered.

National & International Travel

Travel is an essential part of this role.

The successful candidate must be comfortable undertaking significant national and international travel, including extended periods working on site at resorts and project locations.

This is not a traditional office-based Project Manager role. You will need to be comfortable being where the project is, sometimes for extended periods, and working closely with Resort Operations,contractorsand trades to achieve successful project outcomes.
