He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the Role

As the Project Manager - Property, you will be responsible for delivering a variety of property-related projects, from feasibility studies to construction and final delivery. This role will see you lead the development of detailed project plans, monitor budgets, and ensure safety standards are met. You’ll collaborate with key stakeholders across the business, manage resources effectively, and ensure consistent delivery standards. Your work will play a pivotal role in maintaining the strong legacy of KiwiRail while driving the company forward.

We’re looking for an experienced project manager with a proven track record in large-scale, operational projects. Ideally, you will bring:

  • 5+ years of project management experience in operational environments
  • Expertise in managing competing priorities and delivering complex property projects
  • Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, and procurement processes
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors
  • In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, as well as the Building Act, RMA, and related legislation
  • Commercial acumen with experience in financial forecasting and CAPEX budgeting
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
  • Strong commitment to safety and wellbeing in all projects
