This Opportunity

Project Orion is GISI Consulting Group’s
strategic technology transformation program focused on creating a single,
standardized IT operating environment across its operating companies through
governance alignment, technology standardization, service consolidation, cybersecurity
integration, and migration to a centralized Microsoft 365 tenant. The
initiative is designed to improve business and IT alignment, simplify
technology operations, establish common architectures and service models, and
enable a future global IT-as-a-Service organization.

GISI CG is seeking a Project Manager, Project
Orion to support their efforts to standardize, simplify and unify its
operating company’s IT infrastructure into a single, centralized environment. The
role will provide management support to the project’s activities, including all
active workstreams. The PM will monitor and control the project’s
implementation, ensuring the activities are completed on time.

Please note this is a corporate fixed-term 12-month
role with the potential for extension.

Location

The position is based in GISI's Arlington, VA office. Candidates must have current work authorization in
the US as we are unable to provide sponsorship at this time.

This is a hybrid position, with most work undertaken remotely. The
successful candidate will be expected to attend the office from time to time,
including on short notice, so applicants must live within commuting distance of
the office.

Compensation

The full-time
annual base salary for this position is expected to range from $90,000 to $98,000.
Please be advised that a final salary offer will be based on various factors,
including but not limited to your qualifications, education, experience,
skills, seniority, performance, and Palladium’s business or organizational
needs.

Reporting Lines

  • The Project Manager reports to the SVP, IT Operations
  • This role will work closely with workstream leaders, key project stakeholders, and is part of GISI CG’s Project Orion’s implementation team

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and
    monitor compliance with Project Orion’s consolidated workplan, tracking
    milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and delivery gates
  • Ensure alignment
    between activities of the active workstreams
  • Coordinate
    activities between the project’s leadership and the different workstreams,
    facilitating the logistics for meetings, planning sessions, workshops, and
    execution reviews
  • Maintain decision
    logs, action logs, and approval records
  • Resolve scheduling
    conflicts and resource constraints between workstreams
  • Support decision
    gate activities, ensuring all operational, technical, communications, and
    change management requirements have been met
  • Maintain the
    project’s risk register, including tracking mitigation actions and
    resolution plans
  • Monitor readiness
    gaps that could impact timeline, costs, or operational continuity
  • Track resource
    utilization across workstreams and budget compliance
  • Provide weekly and
    monthly status reports and any other as needed
  • Report milestone
    progress, resourcing status, risks, decisions, and budget impacts
  • Support executive
    reviews and governance meetings with fact-based reporting

Essential
Criteria

  • Significant PMO experience in managing projects,
    preferably in the IT sector
  • Demonstrated experience applying methods and
    tools within defined project management approaches (PMBOK, Prince 2, etc.)
  • Experience supporting and managing formal project
    governance processes, including scheduling, documenting, and reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving
    capabilities with the ability to translate technical risks into business
    impact
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and
    priorities across different operating companies
  • Excellent communication, presentation,
    stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
    and strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating
    effectively within a global team environment
