The Project Manager is responsible for delivering the projects assigned to their management, controlling the contribution margin, and ensuring customer satisfaction through the effective management of project activities, resources, and their respective stakeholders.

They must seek practical and innovative ways to achieve the department's objectives while adhering to the company's rules and procedures.

As a Project Manager, you will also be responsible for:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing technical and commercial issues, providing project progress updates, negotiating potential contractual variations, and leading customer relationship management.
  • Collaborating with the Project Management team to identify issues and requirements generated during the ITO (Inquiry to Order) phase, map gaps, and work with the ITO team to mitigate them, ensuring consistency in proposals submitted to customers.
  • Reviewing and analyzing proposal Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) to ensure compliance with applicable Baker Hughes policies and procedures.
  • Working with the ITO and Sourcing teams during the proposal phase to develop the project budget and clarify any assumptions and constraints.
  • Defining viable strategies for project execution in accordance with the plan developed during the proposal phase.
  • Collaborating with the Risk Management team and other departments to identify and mitigate project risks recognized during the proposal phase, as well as risks that arise during project execution.
  • Identifying potential communication breakdowns and work proactively to eliminate them.
  • Reviewing lessons learned from other projects and maintaining accurate records of the current project for use in future proposals and project executions.
  • Monitoring project costs and their impact on profit margins, ensure planned cash flow is maintained, and addressing any project payment-related issues with customers.
  • Ensuring that the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) values outlined in company policies are practiced by employees, suppliers, and third parties through the identification, monitoring, and control of significant environmental impacts and occupational risks, supported by leadership, training, commitment, and a proactive attitude.
  • Working in compliance with company policies and procedures related to quality and operational activities. Report any nonconformities, concerns, and situations that pose risks to products, processes, or services. Remain committed to achieving quality objectives and continuously seeking improvements in products, processes, and services.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited university.
  • An MBA in Project Management (preferred).
  • A minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing and executing Oil & Gas projects (preferred).
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Technical knowledge of Flexible Pipe Systems (preferred).
  • Strong project management knowledge and the ability to deliver complex projects successfully.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).
  • The ability to drive project execution, commercial performance, and customer satisfaction in a dynamic environment.
