Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Project Manager or Design Engineer who wants more interaction with clients and end users. This customer-facing, project-based role puts you at the heart of turning ideas into real-world solutions.

You’ll review CAD or SolidWorks designs, translate client needs into actionable plans, and drive projects from concept to production. This customer-facing, project-based role will serve as the key bridge between clients and internal teams, translating client needs into practical, innovative design solutions. Working with a great team of CAD Design Engineers.

The successful candidate will combine hands-on engineering or manufacturing expertise with project management skills to ensure design initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

The role requires collaboration with clients, cross-functional internal teams, and external suppliers, taking projects from initial concept through to production while acting as a trusted partner throughout the process. It could be a step up from a day to day design role, if you have the interactive skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, understanding and interpreting their requirements.
  • Review, interpret, and work from CAD or SolidWorks drawings to provide design input and solutions.
  • Translate customer needs into actionable design solutions, coordinating with internal engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams.
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure on-time, within-scope, and quality completion.
  • Maintain open, professional communication with clients, providing updates, guidance, and solutions throughout project lifecycles.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and manufacturers to support design feasibility, prototyping, and production.
  • Conduct design reviews and technical presentations with clients and internal managers.
  • Troubleshoot design or production issues and provide practical solutions in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all project documentation, technical drawings, and specifications are accurate, complete, and up-to-date.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or hands on experience within a related field.
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing engineering or project-based role.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD or SolidWorks, with the ability to interpret design drawings.
  • Solid understanding of design principles, materials used, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

Why Join Us:
