The Vendor Operations Project Manager drives cross-functional initiatives to improve product availability, reduce unhealthy inventory, and strengthen supply chain collaboration with vendors. The role combines project leadership, vendor operations expertise, and strategic FP&R development to deliver measurable impact on availability, overstock, cost efficiency, and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

Out of stock/overstock targets, roadmap and project lead

  • Coordinate the target-setting process for availability, overstock, and other key FP&R metrics.

  • Build and maintain the OOS/OV measure roadmap including milestones, owners, impact estimates, and timelines.

  • Create a holistic overview of all ongoing and planned highimpact measures across FP&R, Procurement, Vendor Management, Logistics, Pricing, Tech, etc.

  • Identify gaps vs. committed targets and align on additional measures with relevant stakeholders; reprioritize initiatives where needed.

  • Lead cross-functional projects to improve product availability and reduce overstock / unhealthy inventory: Ensure datadriven decision-making by leveraging analytics related to availability, OOS/OV development, vendor behavior, and supply chain performance, Challenge existing processes and stimulate critical thinking

Vendor Operations & Supply Chain Integration

  • Engage with vendors and manufacturers to streamline their supply chain processes with the z+ ordering system.

  • Lead vendor supply chain integration projects, ensuring strong connectivity between vendor production planning and zooplus ordering logic.

  • Be sponsor or key stakeholder for EDI rollout and similar vendor digitalization initiatives.

  • Moderate Supply Chain Collaboration Workshops with vendors to identify efficiency improvements, reduce logistics cost, and improve availability.

  • Strengthen relationships with strategic vendors through structured followups, KPI reviews, and collaborative forecasting/replenishment improvement initiatives.

FP&R Development / Continous improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase automation, stability, and scalability of FP&R processes.

  • Actively contribute to shaping the strategic development of FP&R, including roadmap definition, project selection, and prioritization.

Qualifications

  • MBA/Master's Degree

  • Advanced Excel user; experience with SQL and operations research skills are a plus

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights, uses data for decision making & prioritization of actions

  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment; builds scalable systems & processes, rather than just addressing single issues

  • Strong attention to detail and effective prioritization, while keeping the big picture in mind

  • Great team player with the ability to communicate and work with people on different levels, expertise, and locations

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with can-do-anything attitude, understanding of business processes

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and ability to present complex ideas

  • 5+ years of working experience, thereof 3+ years in a project oriented and/or analytically focused role (e.g. consulting, project management, business analyst)

  • Experience within Procurement or Logistics/Operations, ideally focused on inventory / instock management
