Job Description

About the job

The Power Management IC (PMIC) team is looking for a Project Manager to take ownership of projects across the nPM product family. The work covers the full development cycle: from feasibility and design through verification, physical implementation, and post-silicon validation. You will be embedded in the team and expected to understand the technical context, not just track status from a distance.

You will work within Nordic’s established project management framework and contribute to how it is applied within the PMIC team. The PMIC Project Management (PM) team actively looks for ways to improve how we plan, track, and report. There is room to bring ideas and help shape the way the team works.

The role involves working across a broad set of teams: System Architects, Analog and Digital designers, layout engineers, Verification, Test, Software, Supply Chain, and Product Management. Some customer interaction is also part of the job, depending on the projects.

The core toolset includes Jira for issue tracking and Confluence for documentation. Process-wise, you will interact with Nordic’s company-level PM function and be expected to align with its standards while adapting them to the realities of PMIC development.

Key responsibilities

  • Own PMIC development projects end-to-end: schedule, cost, resources, and quality against the project mandate
  • Build and maintain the project plan across design, verification, layout, and post-silicon. Keep it honest and flag drift early
  • Run the weekly project rhythm: Jira updates, Confluence documentation, action tracking, and milestone readiness reporting
  • Communicate project goals, success criteria, and status clearly to the team and to stakeholders. No surprises at review gates
  • Manage dependencies across disciplines and escalate blockers before they hit the critical path
  • Maintain good working relationships with the project team, internal stakeholders, and where relevant, external partners and customers

Key qualifications

  • BSc, MSc, or equivalent in electronics, microelectronics, or a related engineering discipline
  • Hands-on experience in PMIC or semiconductor development, either from work or a thesis project, is an advantage
  • Project Management experience in IC development is an advantage
  • Fluent written and spoken English

Personal Skills

  • Organized and structured. You keep track of what matters and follow through
  • Clear communicator: concise in writing, confident presenting to engineers and senior stakeholders
  • A problem-solver who stays calm when schedules slip or priorities shift
  • Curious and willing to learn, both the Project Management craft and the PMIC domain
  • A team player who builds trust with the people around them
