Join us as a Project Manager Operation Development in Pune, Maharashtra to be responsible is responsible for leading Pharma projects in alignment with Alfa Laval’s project management methodology. This role directly supports the strategic growth of the Pharma business within the Business Unit Hygienic Fluid Handling. The Project Manager will establish and maintain strong networks within the Pharma sector, both internally and externally, proactively drive initiatives, and consistently deliver results that support business objectives.

About The Position
This position is located in Pune, this role directly supports the strategic growth of the Pharma business within the Business Unit Hygienic Fluid Handling. The Project Manager will establish and maintain strong networks within the Pharma sector, both internally and externally, proactively drive initiatives, and consistently deliver results that support business objectives.

As a part of the team, you will:

  • Lead and manage operational projects as outlined in the Pharma roadmap, including supply chain improvements and process development, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.

  • Develop and implement project plans, monitor progress, manage risks, and provide regular updates to the Pharma Steering Committee.

  • Train and support teams in Pharma Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) to ensure compliance and best practices.

  • Actively participate in and expand the global Pharma network to share knowledge and drive collaboration.

  • Optimize factory operations using Lean principles, ensuring alignment with Pharma frameworks and guidelines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.

  • Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure clear, consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Manage project budgets, resources, and cost control to ensure efficient use of company assets.

  • Ensure all projects adhere to relevant Pharma regulations and standards.

  • Lead project teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.

  • Utilize project management software to track progress, manage tasks, and report outcomes.

  • Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies.

  • Manage change within projects, including process updates and technology adoption.

  • Demonstrate willingness to travel as required for project implementation and stakeholder engagement.

What You Know

  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required.

  • Practical experience with Pharma GMP is an advantage.

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience is required.

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management, preferably in a technical or Pharma environment, is expected.

  • Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills are essential.

  • The candidate should be results-oriented, self-motivated, and energetic, with a positive attitude that motivates teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver results is necessary.

  • Experience with continuous improvement tools such as 5S, Six Sigma, and Kaizen is required; Green Belt certification is a plus.

  • Familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project) is expected.
