Leidos is looking to hire a Project Manager Mid in New Orleans, LA to join our SMIT program. The selected candidate will plan, direct, and coordinate team activities to manage and implement project and interrelated projects from initiation to final operational stage. The Project Manager will also determine, monitor, and review all project economics to include costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risk.
SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport portion of SMIT, the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
Other duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead the project team in determining client requirements and translating requirements into operational plans.
Identify and assemble the appropriate blend of resources to meet project needs and requirements.
Manage sub-contractors.
Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the project.
Develop project control and reporting procedures and manage changes in operational plan.
Undertake status review meetings among project team members and clients. Work with management on project proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules.
Coach and advise team members to accomplish project goals, to meet established schedules, and resolve technical or operational issues.
Ensure adherence to legally binding requirements.
Control project requirements, scope, and change management issues.
Develop, propose, and negotiate project proposals, quotations, and add-ons to leadership and the client. Analyze needs and recommend appropriate planning concepts and tools to be used for all facets of planning, scheduling, and tracking projects.
Analyze project progress/costs and facilitates the development of recommended alternatives.
Integrate and use project management methodologies
Create communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders.
Advise senior management on project management capability and risk.
Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and project management techniques.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
US Citizen with an active DOD Secret security clearance.
Must have experience working with or collaborating with Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) G6 and Network Activity-Reserves and understand their specific mission requirements.

Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
