About the Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful execution of complex mechanical construction projects from project kickoff through commissioning and final turnover. This individual will oversee all aspects of project performance, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.

The Project Manager serves as the primary leader for assigned projects, coordinating cross-functional teams while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. This is an outstanding opportunity for a construction professional who thrives in technically challenging environments such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, life sciences, or microelectronics facilities.

  • Track project costs and proactively manage budgets to maximize profitability.
  • Procure equipment, materials, and subcontractor services required for successful project execution.
  • Prepare and manage engineering submittals in accordance with contract specifications.
  • Coordinate with owners, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, manage, and resolve project issues while minimizing schedule and cost impacts.
  • Track, price, negotiate, and document project scope changes and change orders.
  • Generate and manage project progress billings.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
  • Provide leadership and coordination across project teams, including Superintendents, BIM/Detailing, Scheduling, QA/QC, and other support groups.
  • Oversee project startup, commissioning, system testing, and final turnover activities.
  • Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety throughout every phase of construction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management or Construction Management experience within the mechanical construction industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing commercial or industrial mechanical construction projects.
  • Previous project experience within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or microelectronics industries is strongly preferred.
  • Experience delivering highly technical mechanical systems for cleanroom, manufacturing, or process facilities.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical construction processes, scheduling, procurement, commissioning, and project controls.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional client service.
  • Contract administration and change management experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams while building strong client relationships.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary ($120,000-$150,000)
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Paid vacation and company holidays
