Job Description

Who we are:

EDAG Inc. is a globally leading, independent engineering services provider that combines excellent engineering with the latest technology trends. We are the experts in the all-round development of complete vehicles and smart factories. Our interdisciplinary expertise in the areas of software and digitalization means that we have the crucial skills to actively shape dynamic transformation processes as an innovative partner.

Development with passion. That's us.

With an interdisciplinary team of around 9,000 experts, EDAG develops unique mobility and industrial solutions for customers that include the world's leading automotive and non-automotive companies.

This is how you will grow:

As Project Manager, you are the point of accountability for project delivery and the customer's day-to-day partner. Acting as the owner's representative, you coordinate engineering work across our US team, our German and sister offices, and our global engineering centers, leading manufacturing and capital projects from feasibility through commissioning and ramp-up. You'll manage scope, schedule, cost, and quality with a disciplined, cost-engineering mindset.

You'll work across three service lines: Smart Factory Consulting (factory planning, digital twin / simulation, virtual commissioning), Owner's Engineering for Manufacturing (feasibility studies, front-end loading, greenfield project management, capital project reviews), and Manufacturing & Process Engineering. Project travel required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project delivery for manufacturing and capital projects — scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and EH&S coordination — from front-end loading through commissioning and ramp-up.
  • Serve as the customer's primary point of contact and owner's representative, providing independent, agnostic engineering judgment.
  • Coordinate delivery resources across US, German/sister-office, and best-cost-center engineering teams into one accountable project team.
  • Own project cost and controls — estimating, budgeting, cost control, change management, and project P&L — across time-and-materials, fixed-fee, and hybrid engagements.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships, supporting proposals and identifying follow-on scopes within active accounts.
  • Drive project quality and customer satisfaction, including post-project performance reviews and outcome reporting.
Requirements

This is how you will take us forward:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related).
  • 5+ years managing manufacturing, plant, or industrial capital projects — in an owner's representative, EPC, OEM, or engineering-consulting setting.
  • Hands-on ownership of project budgets and schedules on multi-phase projects.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment specification, and commissioning; familiarity with factory planning or digital twin / simulation is a plus.
  • Strong client-facing communication and coordination of distributed, cross-border teams.
  • Working knowledge of AACE Total Cost Management (TCM) preferred — structured estimating, cost control, and earned value. AACE credentials (CCP, PSP, EVP, or CEP) or PMP are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites.

Why EDAG

  • Lead meaningful projects in the sectors driving the US reshoring and industrial-investment cycle.
  • Access to a global engineering network and advanced digital validation tools (digital twin, Omniverse simulation).
  • A role with real ownership, customer-facing responsibility, and a direct line to US leadership.
