Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager to join the Life Proposition team to drive end-to-end delivery of initiatives across the Life business, to accelerate life business growth is a company strategy. This role will manage the new product and proposition launches, and coordinate existing product project implementation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define the scope and requirements, manage delivery timelines, resolve risks/issues, and ensure governance and record keeping.

Job Responsibilities

1) Life Proposition New Product Projects (End-to-End Delivery)

  • Manage the full project lifecycle for Life Proposition launches (once an initiative becomes a project), including:
    • Market research and insights gathering
    • Coordination of product specification and product literature drafting
    • Development of go-to-market materials and sales enablement support
    • Alignment of operational materials, procedures, and readiness
    • Oversight of multi-system impacts and dependencies
  • Stand up projects from scratch by:
    • Clarify with stakeholders “who needs to do what by when”
    • Building and maintaining a robust project plan, timeline, and workstream structure

2) Drive Execution, Monitoring, and Governance

  • Track and manage project progress across multiple workstreams by:
    • Running regular working group meetings to ensure deliverables are on track
    • Proactively resolving roadblocks, managing risks and issues, and driving decisions
    • Reporting progress, decisions, and escalations in different forums
    • Engaging senior stakeholders to secure decisions and alignment (including escalation when required)

3) Ensure Proper Documentation and Record Keeping

  • Ensure strong project governance by:
    • Confirming document owners execute appropriate sign-off processes
    • Maintaining proper audit-ready record keeping

4) Post-Launch Monitoring & Success Measurement

  • Monitor post-launch performance and stability by:
    • Tracking and reporting post-launch issues, customer impacts, and operational pain points
    • Providing updates in relevant governance forums

5) Coordinate existing product projects

  • Manage projects like:
    • Product feature / campaign changes
    • Initiatives that strengthen Life product positioning and customer experience
  • Activities include:
    • Understanding and documenting change requirements
    • Stakeholder alignment on roles, timelines, and dependencies
    • Monitoring progress and reporting updates in related meetings

6) Stakeholder communication and management

  • Balance perspectives and resolve different viewpoints among stakeholders.
  • Ability to summarize the take-aways and follow-ups, and escalate to Management if necessary.

Job Requirements

  • 4 - 5 years of project management experience (preferably within financial services/insurance), with projects related to the following an advantage.
    • Product / Proposition, Underwriting, Claims, Marketing, Legal & Compliance, Operations, IT / Digital, Customer Service
  • Experience running (preferred and not necessary):
    • Project working groups, cross-functional forums, and governance routines
    • SteerCo / senior stakeholder reporting and decision sessions
  • Some life insurance product knowledge is an added advantage
  • Good project planning and execution capability (scope, timeline and dependencies)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills (written and verbal)

  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability; comfortable navigating ambiguity
  • Suitable candidate with less knowledge and experience, an Assistant Manager may be offered.
