As part of a replacement, we are looking for a Project Manager Life Cycle Assessment, PEP & Ecodesign to continue developing and deploying Nexans’ environmental footprint assessment and ecodesign capabilities worldwide.

Nexans is accelerating its transformation into a pure electrification player, supporting the energy transition from generation to usage across the entire value chain. To achieve this ambition, understanding, communicating, and reducing the environmental footprint of our products is a strategic priority.

In this role, you will work with all Nexans Business Groups and functions worldwide, while collaborating with a global network of experts to strengthen our Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Product Environmental Profile (PEP), and Ecodesign capabilities across the Group.

🚀 Getting a Flying Start

As Project Manager Life Cycle Assessment, PEP & Ecodesign, you will be responsible for developing and deploying the methodologies, tools, and processes that enable Nexans to quantify, communicate, and reduce the environmental impact of its products.

You will act as Nexans’ expert on Life Cycle Assessment and Product Environmental Profiles, supporting plants, business groups, purchasing teams, and customers worldwide. You will also represent Nexans in key industry associations and standardization committees, helping shape the evolution of environmental assessment methodologies and ensuring alignment with the Group’s sustainability strategy.

Your work will play an essential role in supporting customer expectations, regulatory compliance, sustainable product development, and environmental performance improvement.

🎯 How You Make an Impact

  • Lead the continuous improvement of Nexans' LCA, PEP, and Ecodesign methodologies, tools, databases, and processes.
  • Perform and support Life Cycle Assessment studies, environmental footprint evaluations, and PEP calculations across Nexans operations.
  • Manage LCA software, licenses, databases, and PEP registrations while ensuring compliance with evolving standards and methodologies.
  • Coordinate and train a worldwide network of LCA and PEP practitioners, providing technical guidance and expertise to business units and plants.
  • Represent Nexans in PEP associations, technical committees, and standardization working groups to support the Group's interests and strategic objectives.
  • Drive the deployment of Ecodesign methodologies and support improvement projects aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of products.
  • Support business groups, purchasing teams, sales teams, customers, and suppliers on environmental footprint topics and sustainability-related requests.

đź§© Your Starting Points

  • Engineering degree or Master's degree in Materials, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
  • Additional specialization or Master's degree in Ecodesign, Environmental Management, Sustainability, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial company or consulting environment related to Life Cycle Assessment, environmental footprint, or Ecodesign.
  • Strong expertise in LCA software and recognized LCA/Ecodesign methodologies.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to coordinate international networks and lead transversal initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and technical writing skills.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, in an international environment.
  • Autonomous, rigorous, organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
